Today is Pepero Day. A Pepero (or Pocky in Japan) is a biscuit/pretzel dipped in chocolate.
The special day was invented by Lotte - a big retailer here. Clever aye?
I was going to take a photo of one but I ate it instead.

Some students gave me some so I've taken a photo of them below.I couldn't open the packets to show you because then I'd have to eat them too.
They do schmalzy sentiment so - - - relentlessly.
"I hope you will be happy all day long"
"Being with you makes me happy"
"I only want my love to grow in you" [huh?]
"Love: mind like a relative, or that state of mind"
There should be more of these days ... I can think of a few - Milky Bar Day, Crunchie Day, Moro Bar Day.
Pocky! I love it. Although i can eat a whole box and not even really notice that i have eaten it... a bit hazardous really.
