It was an early morning start as I wasn't sure about the airport bus going from Changwon - so, of course, it all went smoothly and I had a few hours to kill at the airport - something I rather like - basking in the anticipatory excitement. I had some time to peruse my camera manual and work out how to use the mode that highlights only one colour - hence the following photo - perhaps my best of the trip. Certainly the 'artiest'

This photo has no merit except it was the first I took in Tokyo and will always remind me of how excited I was to have arrived ...

Limo bus into Shinjuku then subway 2 stops to Akebonobashi - and a short walk to my mate's place. This street was just by the subway station - it was festival time - I think they were hoping to produce rain by drumming and fireworks

And, blurry I know, but people in kimonos - that really surprised me. Mostly related to the festival - but not an uncommon sight on the streets.

Downtown Shinjuku

Now I'm back in Korea but have the luxury of another 7 days off - quarantine. Nothing could be better than 7 days' holiday to recover from the other holiday - and after all my walking in Tokyo I think I need this. Plus it gives me time to catch up on this blog...
Surely you enjoyed your stay there, by the sounds of it! love the pics with all the electric wires - one would not rush to the street in case of a major quake! frying would be the obvious result - but loved the modern buildings best.
