Today is a public holiday - Provincial Government Day.
And it is also the day for local elections - which hopefully means an end to the noisy vans with bad music and songs that roam the neighbourhoods promoting the virtues of various candidates.
Gotta love the style though.

ReplyDeleteAu has a new party which was voted overwhelmingly as the preferred party. Don Key, the new party leader, yes a donkey!, has the lead by 40+% over the current leader and the opposiiton. That tells you the current state of Au politics and the nations dissatisfaction! It was Ch7, Sunrise breakfast show, who came up with Don Key. They went as far as bringing a donkey into the studio in Sydney CBD and had donkey say a few words which was very entertaining and provided some light relief of an otherwise frustrating situation. But on a serious note, it also stated the very real concern we have with the state of our policial parties.
